Bob Bradley to remain at Egypt’s helm.

CAIRO: Bob Bradley remains a Pharaoh. At least the manager of the Egyptian national team through the North African country’s quest for a third-ever berth in football’s biggest stage, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Egyptian Football Federation (EFA) on Tuesday said they would retain Bradley through the qualification phase despite Egypt being knocked out the 2013 African Cup of Nations over the weekend, the second straight time the 7-time continental champions won’t be appearing.

Following Central African Republic’s shock victory in the home and home playoff, speculation had surfaced that Bradley could be on his way out.

However, the EFA remains strong in their optimism that Bradley can lead the Pharaohs to Brazil in two years’ time. Already, Egypt has won their first two qualifiers and Bradley has said he hopes to build on those successes.

The next round of matches for qualifying will occur in March, with Egypt atop their group on 6 points. They will host Zimbabwe.
