Much has been written recently about Samsung’s failure to sell as many Galaxy S5s as predicted. Of course, producing more phones than you can sell is a problem in anyone’s book, but the decline in interest around the S5 is a problem that will befall all smartphones eventually. Apple has dodged the problem this year by changing phone sizes. But without a lot more innovation, the iPhone is likely to suffer the same fate.

FERGUSON, Mo. (Reuters) – Missouri’s governor ordered hundreds more National Guard troops on Tuesday to the St. Louis suburb rocked by rioting after a white policeman was cleared in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager, while the local mayor said the governor did not do enough to protect businesses from looting.
